If a part doesn't fit, arrives damaged, or simply isn't what you expected, we want to make it right. This policy explains how returns, exchanges, and refunds work at North York Auto Body Parts. It forms part of our Terms of Service, and does not affect any non-waivable rights you have under Ontario's Consumer Protection Act, 2002.
You may request a return within 30 days of the delivery date shown on your tracking. Requests received after day 30 may be considered at our discretion but are not guaranteed.
To be eligible for a refund or exchange, the part must be:
Parts that have been test-fitted briefly without modification are still returnable; parts that have been bolted on, painted, or otherwise prepared for installation are not.
Returns received without an RMA may be refused or delayed.
A restocking fee of 15% may apply to non-defective returns of oversize body panels (bumpers, hoods, fenders, tailgates) that must be re-packaged and re-inspected before they can be resold. This will be disclosed in the RMA email so you can decide whether to proceed.
Once we receive and inspect the returned part (typically within 3–5 business days of arrival), we will:
The fastest way to swap a part is to place a new order for the correct item and return the original for a refund. This avoids waiting for the return to arrive before the replacement ships. If you need a true exchange instead, mention this when you request the RMA.
Before installing, please inspect the part. If the parcel is visibly damaged on delivery, note the damage on the carrier waybill before signing (or refuse the parcel). For damaged or wrong items, contact us within 48 hours of delivery with:
We will arrange a replacement or full refund, including return shipping, at no cost to you.
Aftermarket parts carry a limited 12-month warranty against manufacturing defects as described in Section 7 of our Terms of Service. To make a warranty claim after the 30-day return window, contact us with your order number, a description of the defect, and photos. The warranty covers replacement of the defective part only; it does not cover labour, paintwork, or consequential damage.
You may cancel an unshipped order at any time before it leaves our warehouse for a full refund. Once a parcel has been picked up by the carrier, the order can no longer be cancelled — you will need to refuse delivery or follow the return process above. Painted-part orders that have already entered the paint booth cannot be cancelled.
